The goal is to create a social campaign with a positive impact, improving quality of life, and empower people to make a difference in their communities. Designers can use their experience to help organizations identify social, cultural, or environmental issues and develop solutions. Designers can work with community members, policymakers, and experts to create more effective solutions. Designers can consider the ethical and social implications of their work. Designers can create solutions that empower people to take action on important issues. Designers can improve accessibility, sustainability, economic empowerment, health education, and social justice.
Solution
Designers can use their skills to address social issues and create positive change through design. This series of posters addresses the ongoing discussion of climate change—taking known imagery to the abstracted level, getting audiences to view this issue in a more empathetic way. With expressive typography and illustration, designers for social change forwards attention to the human’s power to change.
